Captain, first and foremost I want to thank you for your years of service and dedication to the guild and raid. For what it's worth, my comments tonight about being on time were not directed at you, I know you and Steph are PST and 6PM is tough to make. My comments were directed at the people in the guild chat and whispers asking for invites 2 seconds after logging on. So please don't think my comments were in any way directed towards you. I sincerely apologize if that's how my comments were perceived.
That being said, real life should always come first. Dinners with siblings, birthdays, dating - all these things should take higher priority than raiding. If you've been missing those kinds of events for raiding, I can definitely empathize with your situation. I hope you enjoy your newly found freedom!
All the best,

I've told myself that in a raiding tier when I'm outperformed and I'm taking a raid spot from someone better (someone not mute), then I'll retire and head off into the sunset.
I find enjoyment raiding with y'all, not necessarily the actual playing video game, click buttons, hold pee for an hour etc. I made it known through the seven years of raiding that I have a strict work schedule and I haul ass after work just to login for raid by raid time (not on time). Like most of you, I've committed to raiding on specific nights which means, like you, I've missed out on work opportunities, dinners w/siblings, bday parties, dating and generally just outside life which has come second because I value my experience here equally to irl stuff.
However, I can't say no to irl stuff if I'm on the raid bench, even just for the first time-- regardless if I'm outperformed or if I'm not logged on before others fill the raid group.
I'll join the ranks of shitlord if it means I get to keep the title Elysium. I apologize for the short notice but someone needs to be the example if you're not logged in before 20 raiders right? Good luck ladies and gents w/progression.
